Broken yellow line

Also known as: dashed yellow line, dotted yellow line, skip line

A dashed yellow line between opposing lanes of traffic, indicating that passing is allowed when the way is clear and the maneuver can be completed safely. The yellow color signals that the lane being entered carries traffic in the opposite direction.
