Two-Way Left-Turn Lane

Center lane bordered by an outer solid and inner broken yellow line on each side, used by traffic from both directions only to make left turns.

An outer solid yellow line paired with an inner broken yellow line on each side of a center lane marks a two-way left-turn lane. Traffic traveling in either direction may enter this shared lane to make a left turn, and the broken line facing the lane shows where vehicles may cross into it from the adjacent through lane. The lane is reserved for left-turn movements, so through travel and passing within it are not permitted.
