Bike Lane

Marks a portion of the roadway designated by striping and signs for the exclusive use of bicyclists.

A portion of the roadway has been reserved by pavement markings and signs for bicycle travel. Motor vehicles must stay out of the bike lane except to cross it when entering or leaving a driveway or parking space, or when preparing for a right turn at an intersection. Before crossing or merging into the lane, look carefully for cyclists, signal early, and yield; bicyclists in the lane have the right-of-way.
