Yield
Slow down, give the right-of-way to cross traffic and pedestrians, and stop if needed.
Drivers approaching a yield must slow, scan for conflicting traffic and pedestrians, and be prepared to stop if anyone is close enough to be a hazard. Unlike a stop, a full halt is only required when traffic or pedestrians have the right-of-way; if the way is clear, the driver may proceed without stopping. The downward-pointing red triangle is the universal shape for yield.
