Cross Only On Walk Signal

Pedestrians may begin crossing only when the walking-person signal is displayed.

Reinforces that pedestrians at a signalized crossing must wait for the WALKING PERSON indication before stepping into the roadway. Crossing on a steady or flashing UPRAISED HAND is prohibited; the pictogram clarifies which signal phase permits a new crossing.
