Bicycle Push Button For Green Light

Bicyclists must press the button to trigger a green signal at this intersection.

Mounted near a traffic signal at a bicycle-equipped intersection, this placard tells riders to press the pedestal-mounted call button so the controller knows a bicycle is waiting and gives it a green indication. Bike-actuated detectors do not always pick up bicycles automatically, so without pressing the button the light may not change.
