Emergency Signal

Identifies a traffic signal that is activated by emergency vehicles leaving a fire or police station.

Mounted near signals controlling traffic at fire stations, ambulance bays, or other emergency-vehicle exits, this placard alerts drivers that the lights only activate when emergency apparatus needs to enter the roadway. Treat the signal as a normal traffic light when illuminated and stop on red.
