State Law Stop For Pedestrians In Crosswalk

State law requires drivers to stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk.

Used in states whose statutes mandate a full stop (rather than a yield) for pedestrians in a marked crosswalk. Mounted on a lane-line or centerline pedestal at the crossing, the placard reinforces the higher legal duty drivers face when someone is in the crosswalk.
