State Law Yield To Pedestrians In Crosswalk

State law requires yielding to pedestrians who are in the crosswalk.

An in-street placard installed at the crosswalk that emphasizes the statutory yield duty applies whenever a pedestrian is within the marked crossing. Often used on multi-lane streets where drivers in one lane must not pass a vehicle stopped for pedestrians in another.
