State Law: Stop for Pedestrian in Crosswalk (In-Street)
In-street reminder that drivers must stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk under state law.
Placed directly on the centerline or lane line at an unsignalized crosswalk, this in-street placard reminds drivers that state law requires them to come to a full stop for pedestrians within the crosswalk. The yellow background is used in states whose statutes require stopping (rather than yielding) for crosswalk users. Approach slowly, scan both sides of the roadway, and remain stopped until the pedestrian has fully cleared your half of the road.
