Stop Here For Pedestrians (Left)

Come to a complete stop for pedestrians at the marked crosswalk on the left.

Used in jurisdictions whose laws require a full stop (rather than a yield) for pedestrians in a crosswalk, this assembly directs drivers to stop at the location indicated by the curved arrow before the crossing. Stopping back from the crosswalk preserves sight lines so pedestrians and drivers in adjacent lanes can see one another, reducing the risk of a multiple-threat crash.
