Pavement marking
Also known as: road marking, lane marking, road paint, traffic marking
Lines, words, or symbols painted on a road surface to control, warn, or guide traffic. Color carries meaning: yellow separates opposing directions, white separates same-direction lanes or marks edges, and red is reserved for surfaces drivers should not enter.
