School Crossing Assembly

Children cross the road right here, at the spot the arrow points to.

This is the current federal School Crossing assembly: the pentagon school sign with a downward diagonal arrow plaque mounted beneath it. Unlike the plain school sign, which warns of a zone somewhere ahead, this assembly is posted at the crossing itself and the arrow marks the exact crosswalk. Slow to the posted school speed, scan both sidewalks, and yield to anyone already in or waiting at the crossing.
