Stop Line

A stop line is a wide solid white bar painted across the travel lane at intersections controlled by a stop sign, red signal, or other stop condition. Drivers must bring the front of the vehicle to a complete halt before any part of it crosses the line. If the stop line is set back from the crosswalk, stop at the line (not at the curb) so pedestrians have clearance.
