Warning sign
Also known as: caution sign
A traffic sign that alerts drivers to a hazard or change in road conditions ahead, such as a curve, intersection, merge, or pedestrian crossing. Warning signs are usually diamond-shaped with black symbols or text on a yellow background; orange backgrounds signal work zones, and fluorescent yellow-green covers schools, pedestrians, and bicycles.
