At an uncontrolled intersection the manual tells you to check that no vehicles are approaching from the left before proceeding, because you may legally have right-of-way but still need the other driver to yield. Wrong answer C tempts a driver who reads "yield to the right" as "wait for the right to stop"; the manual grants the right-side driver priority, never a duty to stop first.
The traps in the wrong answers
A. That your headlights are on to make yourself visible.
Headlights are not the manual's uncontrolled-intersection check. This answer substitutes a general visibility habit for the specific left-side check the manual actually names.
B. That another driver has waved you into the intersection.
A wave from another driver does not transfer legal right-of-way. This answer reads courtesy waves as a legal transfer, a habit picked up from crowded parking lots.
C. That the driver on your right has come to a full stop first.
The vehicle on your right has the right-of-way; the manual never requires that driver to stop before you cross. This answer reads "yield to the vehicle on the right" as if it forced the right-side driver to stop first.
