Fire Ahead: Do Not Report
A fire ahead is already known to responders; do not call 911 to report it.
A fluorescent pink incident-management warning posted by Utah DOT when an active fire is burning along the roadway and emergency services are already on scene or aware. The 'DO NOT REPORT' line is meant to keep dispatchers from being overwhelmed by duplicate 911 calls from passing motorists. Drivers should still slow down, expect smoke and reduced visibility, and watch for fire apparatus and crews working near the travel lanes.
