Bicycle Merge

Bicycle traffic merges with the roadway ahead; motorists should expect bikes joining the travel lane.

Warns that a bike lane or path will merge with the adjacent motor-vehicle lane. Drivers should anticipate cyclists entering from the side and adjust speed or position to share the lane. Cyclists should signal and merge when a safe gap appears.
