Lane Ends Merge Left

The right lane is ending; merge into the left lane before reaching the taper.

Direct instruction to right-lane traffic that the lane ahead drops and a left merge is required. Signal early, identify a gap in the adjacent lane, adjust speed to match traffic, and complete the merge before the taper. Through-lane drivers should ease off if needed to admit the merging vehicle.
