Loose Gravel

Loose gravel on the roadway ahead can reduce traction and be thrown by tires.

Loose stones cover the pavement, often after chip-sealing or shoulder work. Traction is reduced for braking and cornering, and tires can fling gravel into other vehicles. Slow down, increase following distance, and avoid sharp maneuvers.
