Mounted under a Slippery When Wet symbol or related warning, this supplemental plaque qualifies the hazard as occurring only during wet conditions. The road surface offers normal traction when dry but loses grip during and after rain. Reduce speed, increase following distance, and avoid hard braking or sharp steering when the pavement is wet.
