Ice (Plaque)

Indicates that the slippery condition warned above is caused by ice on the roadway.

Mounted beneath a Slippery When Wet or similar warning, this supplemental plaque pinpoints ice as the hazard. It is used on bridges, shaded curves, and other locations that frost or freeze before the surrounding pavement. Reduce speed, avoid sudden steering or braking, and increase following distance when the warning is in effect.
