Pavement Ends

Paved roadway transitions to gravel, dirt, or another unpaved surface ahead.

The hard surface gives way to gravel or dirt just ahead. Reduce speed before the transition, expect reduced traction and longer stopping distances, and watch for loose material kicked up by other vehicles.
