Fallen Rocks

Rocks may have fallen onto the roadway from the slope above.

Posted in mountainous terrain and along cuts where loose rock can break free and reach the travel lanes, this warning tells drivers to scan ahead for debris on the pavement. Be ready to slow, change lanes, or steer around rocks, and watch the slope itself in heavy rain or after freeze-thaw cycles when fall risk is highest.
