Speed Hump

Warns of a raised pavement hump ahead designed to slow traffic; reduce speed before crossing.

A speed hump is a rounded, raised section of pavement used to enforce low travel speeds in residential streets, parking lots, and similar areas. Drivers should slow well before reaching the hump to avoid losing control, damaging the vehicle, or jolting passengers.
