Moose Crossing

Moose may cross the road ahead; collisions are extremely dangerous, slow down and stay alert.

Moose are present and may enter the roadway in this area. Their long legs put the body of the animal at windshield height, making collisions especially deadly. Slow down (particularly at night, in fog, and during the spring and fall) and scan both shoulders. If a moose is in the road, stop and let it pass; do not try to drive around it.
