Exempt Plaque

Indicates certain vehicles are not required to stop at the rail crossing under specific exemptions.

Mounted with a railroad-related warning or stop-sign assembly to note that vehicles normally required to stop at all rail crossings (such as buses and hazardous-materials carriers) are exempt at this crossing because the line is abandoned, out of service, or otherwise approved. All drivers must still look, listen, and yield to any approaching train.
