Exempt Plaque

Buses and trucks carrying placarded hazardous materials are not required to stop at this railroad crossing.

Mounts below the crossbuck or stop-sign assembly at a railroad crossing to inform drivers (particularly bus and HazMat-truck operators) that state law exempts them from the normal mandatory stop. The crossing has been determined to be sufficiently protected to waive the requirement.
