Street Name Sign
Names the street at an intersection.
Street name signs are guide signs, which is why the standard version is white lettering on green. They are posted at intersections and, on a through street, name the cross street you are about to reach. Some cities are allowed to use blue, brown, or white backgrounds instead, but the shape and the purpose stay the same.
