Pennsylvania sets the roadway parking visibility distance at 500 feet in both directions. Your four-way flashers help, but distance is what gives following and oncoming traffic time to react before they reach your bumper. The trap answer is 200 feet: that figure is the minimum spacing for work-zone advance-warning signs a few pages later, and its "be seen from far off" framing swaps easily for the parking rule.
The traps in the wrong answers
A. 100 feet
One hundred feet is not the parking visibility distance the manual sets. This answer substitutes the '65 mph is almost 100 feet per second' figure printed just above this rule on the same page, mistaking a travel-per-second distance for a visibility distance.
C. 200 feet
Two hundred feet is not the parking visibility distance the manual sets. This answer recalls the 200-foot minimum spacing for work-zone advance-warning signs from the very next section, another 'be seen from far off' rule, and mistakenly applies it here.
D. 300 feet
Three hundred feet is not the parking visibility distance the manual sets. This answer splits the difference between shorter and longer distances mentioned nearby and lands on a plausible middle number with no specific rule behind it.
