Left-or-Right Turn Arrow

Lane drivers must turn; choose left or right; going straight is not allowed.

A two-headed arrow pointing both left and right marks a mandatory-turn lane where drivers must turn either left or right at the intersection. Continuing straight is not permitted. This pattern is common at T-intersections and at the end of streets that terminate at a cross street. Pick your direction, signal early, and move into the correct lane before the stop bar.
