Move-over law

Also known as: move over law, move-over rule, slow down move over law

Oregon's requirement to give room to any vehicle stopped at the roadside with its warning or hazard lights flashing, whether it is an emergency vehicle, a tow truck, a work crew, or a stranded driver. Where there are two or more lanes in your direction, move into a lane that is not next to the stopped vehicle; where you cannot change lanes safely, slow to at least 5 mph under the posted speed limit.
