Police enforcement of work-zone traffic laws is heightened on the road ahead.

The upcoming work zone is patrolled more aggressively than usual; speeding, following too closely, and other violations are more likely to be ticketed, often with doubled fines. New York posts this advisory to deter the aggressive driving that causes most work-zone crashes. Slow to the posted limit, leave extra following distance, and watch for workers and equipment.
