Road Closed To Thru Traffic: Yield To Peds And Bikes 5 MPH
Through traffic is closed; local drivers must yield to walkers and cyclists and stay at 5 mph.
An NYC DOT shared-street style work-zone control. The road is closed to through traffic; only local access is permitted. Drivers who do enter must yield to pedestrians and cyclists, who have priority over the full roadway, and may not exceed 5 mph. Common on construction blocks where pedestrians share the carriageway because the sidewalk is closed.
