Bicycles May Use Full Lane (Work Zone)

Within the work zone, cyclists are entitled to ride in the center of the travel lane.

An NYC DOT work-zone version of the standard "Bicycles May Use Full Lane" advisory. Because the bike lane is closed or pinched by construction, cyclists may take the entire general travel lane. Drivers should expect cyclists positioned in the middle of the lane and change lanes to pass when safe rather than squeezing past in the same lane.
