Detour Ahead

The road ahead is closed and traffic will be routed onto a marked detour, so be ready to follow the detour signs.

W20-2 warns that you cannot continue straight through the work zone and will be sent around it. Once you pass this sign, stop navigating by memory and start following the orange DETOUR markers, because the posted route may double back or use streets you would not normally take. Missing one detour marker is how drivers end up in a closed work area, so slow down enough to read each one.
