Watch For Stopped Traffic

Be ready for traffic stopped ahead, usually at a queue building back from a work zone.

Warns of stopped or queued traffic ahead, often at the back of a work-zone slowdown where drivers may not see the stopped line until they are very close. Reduce speed, increase following distance, and watch the brake lights of vehicles in front. Rear-end crashes are the most common type of work-zone collision.
