Slow Vehicle Turn-Out

A slow-vehicle turn-out is one-half mile ahead.

On two-lane highways with limited passing, alerts drivers of slow vehicles that a turn-out is coming up where they should pull over to let following traffic by. Use of the turn-out is required of slow vehicles in many states when five or more vehicles are following.
