Center Lane Closed Ahead

The center lane of a multi-lane road is closed ahead; move out of it before reaching the closure.

Used on roadways of three or more lanes when the middle lane is taken out of service for construction, maintenance, or an incident. Drivers in the center lane need to move into an adjacent open lane well before the closure point, and surrounding traffic should expect merging vehicles. The orange field identifies it as a temporary work-zone warning.
