Road May Flood (Work Zone)

The roadway ahead is prone to flooding; check for standing water before continuing.

The stretch of road ahead crosses a low spot or drainage path that fills with water during heavy rain. Even a few inches of moving water can stall an engine or float a small vehicle, so slow down, look for standing water, and be ready to turn around rather than drive through. Never gauge depth by eye alone; what looks shallow may have washed out underneath.
