Grooved Pavement (Work Zone)

The pavement ahead has been milled or grooved; expect reduced traction and a rougher ride.

Crews have ground longitudinal grooves into the pavement in preparation for resurfacing. The textured surface can pull at the steering (especially on motorcycles and bicycles) and reduces traction in the rain. Slow down, keep the wheel steady, and avoid sudden lane changes until the pavement is repaved.
