Lane Ends Merge Right (Work Zone)

In the work zone ahead the left lane ends; merge right before the lanes converge.

Through a construction or maintenance area the left-hand lane is closed and traffic from it must merge into the right lane. Drivers in the ending lane should signal, adjust speed to match traffic in the through lane, and merge well before the taper. Drivers in the continuing lane should make room and avoid speeding up to block the merge.
