Work zone
Also known as: construction zone, road work zone
A section of road where construction, maintenance, or utility work changes the normal traffic pattern. Orange warning signs, channelizing devices, and reduced speed limits apply, and fines for moving violations are typically increased whether or not workers are present at the time.
