Provisional license
Also known as: intermediate license, restricted teen license, junior operator license
An intermediate stage between a learner permit and a full license, issued to drivers (usually teens) who have passed the road test but remain subject to passenger and night-driving restrictions. Restrictions ease in stages and lift entirely when the driver completes the program or reaches a set age.
