Learner permit
Also known as: learners permit, learner's permit, instruction permit, learner license
The first stage of a graduated driver licensing program, allowing a new driver to practice while supervised by a licensed adult of a minimum age. Holders must usually log a set number of supervised driving hours, including night hours, before applying for the road test.
